					<description><![CDATA[On May 20th, 2021, IJLA students led workshops at a virtual Newberry Library event for over 60 community members.  Students had been collaborating with library staff all year, engaging with Newberry collection materials, including American, Haitian, Venezuelan, and Mexican declarations of independence. With help from IJLA teachers and Newberry staff and scholars in the field, students used what they’ve learned to formulate their own personal declarations of independence.]]></description>
